Ibis Skopje City Center to stosunkowo “młody” hotel, który działa niecały rok. Urządzony i wyposażony zgodnie z najnowszymi standardami swojej sieci, tworzy przyjemne i wygodne miejsce do odpoczynku w czasie pobytu służbowego, jak i prywatnego. Przestronne, nowoczesne i wygodne lobby ze stanowiskami komputerowymi, darmowe wifi w całym hotelu oraz czynny 24h bar, sprawia, że nie musisz odpowiadać na wiadomości swoich znajomych czy kolegów z pracy koniecznie ze swojego pokoju. Z ulubioną kawą lub kieliszkiem wina w ręku, możesz to zrobić w lobby, siedząc na ergonomicznych i naprawdę wygodnych fotelach.
Sam pokój odpowiada klasycznemu standardowi marki Ibis, zarówno pod względem wyglądu, układu, powierzchni i wyposażenia. Szkoda, że w pokoju nie umieszczono czajnika elektrycznego z herbatą i kawą oraz wody butelkowanej, co powoli zaczyna być standardem w Ibisach w niektórych krajach. Osobiście brakowało nam jeszcze firanki, gdyż odległość od okien następnego budynku jest dość niewielka, a użycie zasłony zaciemniającej powodowało konieczność włączania światła. Pojedyncze łóżka były wygodne, choć były dość wąskie (mogły nie mieć 90 cm, a jedynie 80 cm). Pościel była przyjemna i dobra jakościowo. Mankamentem była konstrukcja łóżka, które składało się ze stelaża połączonego w jedność z materacem, na którym umieszczony był dodatkowy, cienki (ok.5 cm-10 cm) materac. Przy wąskim stelażu, cienki materac dość łatwo zsuwał się z podstawy. Dlatego w środku nocy nastąpił zderzenie z ziemią i ścianą pokoju. Na szczęście nic się nie stało, ale byłoby lepiej gdyby zrezygnowano z dodatkowego materaca lub znacznie go pogrubiono (obciążono), co ograniczyłoby jego ruchomość.
Śniadanie w Ibisie Skopje City Center dostępne jest od 06:30 do 10:00. Hotel oferuje szeroki wybór dań na ciepło i zimno (jajecznica, jajka sadzone, bekon, kiełbaski, dobre wędliny, sery, warzywa, owoce, kilka rodzajów ciastek). Niczego nie brakuje, nie zauważyliśmy kolejek. Nawet jeśli jakaś potrawa się skończy, szybko jest uzupełniana.
Obsługa (zarówno recepcji jak i podczas śniadania) jest bardzo miła, pomocna i uśmiechnięta. Nie sprawia wrażenia, że pracuje tam za karę i robi łaskę gościom odpowiadając na ich pytania (niestety coraz częściej można spotkać takie podejście nawet w hotelach wyższej kategorii niż Ibis).
Jednak niewątpliwie największą zaletą hotelu jest jego położenia – dosłownie 150 m od głównego placu Skopje. Do głównych atrakcji miasta, zarówno w starej jak i nowej części miasta, z łatwością można dotrzeć pieszo. Wokół jest sporo restauracji i kawiarni, najbliższy punkt wymiany walut 200m (obok znajduje się Marriott Skopje, który ma dla przykładu stawki prawie trzykrotnie wyższe). Hotel oferuje też transfer na lotnisko – nie taksówką, lecz prywatną samochodem po stałej stawce (15 Euro).
Wybierając się do Skopje (prywatnie czy biznesowo) warto wziąć Ibisa pod uwagę. Przemawiają za tym: idealne położenie, przynależność do sieci hotelowej, miła obsługa, dobre śniadania i rozsądna cena. Jako ciekawostkę warto dodać, że hotel według lokalnej kategorii posiada cztery gwiazdki.
Decent network hotel in the heart of Skopje city
Ibis Skopje City Center is a relatively „young” hotel, which operates less than a year. Decorated and equipped in accordance with the latest standards of its network, it creates a pleasant and comfortable place to rest during your business and private stay. A spacious, modern and comfortable lobby with computer stations, free wifi in the entire hotel and an open 24-hour bar, make it unnecessary to respond to messages from your friends or colleagues from your room. With your favorite coffee or a glass of wine in your hand, you can do it in the lobby, sitting on ergonomic and really comfortable armchairs.
The room itself corresponds to the classic Ibis
brand, both in terms of appearance, layout, surface and equipment. It is a pity
that there is no electric kettle with tea and coffee and bottled water in the
room, which is slowly becoming a standard in the Ibis in some countries.
Personally, we missed the classic, thin curtain, because the distance from the
windows of the next building is quite small, and the use of a blackout, heavy
curtain made it necessary to turn on the light.
The single beds were comfortable, although they were quite narrow (they could not be even 90 cm , only 80 cm). The bedding was pleasant and good quality. The disadvantage was the construction of the bed, which consisted of a frame connected to a thick mattress, on which was placed an additional, thin (about 5 cm-10 cm) mattress. With a narrow frame, the thin mattress was quite easy to slid off the base. That is why, in the middle of the night, one of us fell out of the bed to the floor. Fortunately, nothing happened. It would be better if the additional mattress was significantly thicker. It would limit its mobility.
Breakfast at Ibis Skopje City Center is available
from 06:30 to 10:00. The hotel offers a wide range of hot and cold dishes
(scrambled eggs, fried eggs, bacon, sausages, good meats, cheese, vegetables,
fruit, several types of cakes). There is nothing missing, we did not notice the
queues in restaurant. Even if a specific dish ends, it is quickly replenished.
Service (both at the reception and during
breakfast) is very nice, helpful and smiling. It does not give the impression
that they work there as a punishment (unfortunately, this approach can be found
even more frequently in hotels of a higher category than Ibis).
However, undoubtedly the biggest advantage of the
hotel is its location – literally 150 m from the main square of Skopje. The
main attractions of the city, both in the old and new part of the city, can be
reached on foot. There are many restaurants and cafes around, the nearest
currency exchange point is 200m (next to the Marriott Skopje, which has rates
almost three times higher). The hotel also offers a shuttle service to the
airport – no taxi, but a private car at a fixed rate (15 Euro).
When you plan to visit Skopje (private or business)
it is worth taking Ibis into account. Why?: ideal location, belonging to the
hotel chain, friendly service, good breakfasts and a reasonable price.
