Hotel Golden Crown Haifa położony jest w „dolnym” centrum miasta, w budynku biurowo-hotelowym (górne piętra zajmują biura, część parteru stanowi niewielkie centrum handlowe). Lokalizacja pozwala pieszo dotrzeć na główny dworzec kolejowy w Hajfie, jak również do początkowej stacji (Downtown) tutejszego metra (kolejki zębatej poprowadzonej w tunelu na górę z Ogrodami Bahai). Położenie na obrzeżach tzw. German Colony sprawia, że mieliśmy do wyboru mnóstwo restauracji i barów ze zróżnicowanymi cenami i ciekawym miksem oferowanych potraw. LOKALIZACJA to na pewno jedna z mocnych stron hotelu.
Zarezerwowaliśmy poprzez booking.com standardowy pokój dwuosobowy typu twin. Niestety przyjeżdżaliśmy późno wieczorem i nasz pokój był już niedostępny. Ponieważ nie chcieliśmy jednego łóżka, zaoferowano nam pokój typu executive na ostatnim (piątym) piętrze hotelu. Główna różnica w typach pokojów, to ich powierzchnia. Pokój executive jest przestronny, najczęściej narożny (dwa okna), oferuje lepsze kosmetyki, powitalne soft-drinki i słodycze. Pokój standardowy, szczególnie dla dwóch osób dorosłych, może być nieco za ciasny. Łóżka były wygodne i pozwalały się dobrze wyspać, pościel miła i adekwatna do kategorii hotelu. Wyposażenie pokoju standardowe dla czterech gwiazdek (klimatyzacja, suszarka do włosów, sejf, ekspres do kawy, czajnik, kawa/herbata, woda butelkowana). Jedyna uwaga to lokalizacja klimatyzacji na wprost łóżka, co nie każdemu może odpowiadać. Klimatyzacja (nawiew) jest centralny i można regulować temperaturę w pokoju w zakresie ustalonym przez hotel dla danej pory roku (brak możliwości grzania i chłodzenia jednego dnia). W pokoju (jak i hotelu) działało bezpłatne wifi, z którym nie mieliśmy żadnych problemów. Generalnie pokój executive, jak dla nas, na plus.
To co naprawdę wyróżnia ten hotel to restauracja i śniadania. Przede wszystkim jedzenie było smaczne, atrakcyjne podane, a wybór naprawdę spory, co pozwalało na swobodne skomponowanie swojego ulubionego śniadania na ciepło lub zimno. Z oczywistych względów koszerności, na śniadanie nie ma możliwości otrzymania jakichkolwiek dań mięsnych (bekon, parówki, wędlina). Przestronna i widna restauracja sprawiała, że nie chciało się kończyć leniwie spożywanego śniadania.
Podsumowując, dogodne położenie, przyjemne pokoje, bardzo dobre śniadania i pomocna załoga hotelu sprawia, że naprawdę warto zatrzymać się w Golden Crown Haifa przynajmniej na jedną dobę podczas zwiedzenia Izraela.

The Golden Crown Hotel Haifa is located in the „lower” part of the city center, in an office-hotel building (the upper floors are occupied by offices, and a part of the ground floor is designated for a small shopping center). The location allows you to reach Haifa’s main train station on foot, as well as to the initial station (Downtown) of the local subway (the cog railway in the tunnel up to the Bahai Gardens Hill). Location on the outskirts of the so-called German Colony makes it possible to choose from a lot of restaurants and bars with varied prices and an interesting mix of cuisines. LOCATION is definitely one of the strengths of the hotel.
We booked a standard double room via booking.com. Unfortunately, we arrived late
in the evening and our room was no longer available. Because we did not want a
double bed room, we were offered an executive room on the last (fifth) floor of
the hotel. The main difference in the types of rooms is their surface. The
executive room is spacious, mostly on the corner of the building (two windows)
and offers better cosmetics as well as welcome soft drinks and sweets. A
standard room, especially for two adults, may be a bit too tight. The beds were
comfortable and allowed to sleep well, linen was nice and adequate to the
category of the hotel. Basic equipment of standard/executive room was adequate
for four stars (air conditioning, hair dryer, safe, coffee maker, kettle,
coffee / tea, bottled water). The only minor disadvantage might be the location
of the air conditioning which is just in
front of the bed and it might be an issue for some guests. Air conditioning
(ventilation) is centrally operated and you can adjust the room temperature
within the range set by the hotel for a given season (no possibility of heating
and cooling one day). In the room (as well as the hotel) there was free wifi,
with which we had no problems.
The Golden Crown Haifa offers really great breakfast. First of all, the food
was tasty, attractive served, and the choice was really big, allowing you to
freely compose your favorite breakfast (hot and cold options). For obvious
reasons (kosher), it is not possible to get any meat dishes for breakfast (bacon,
sausages etc.)but the other choices really compensate this. The spacious and
light restaurant made you not want to end up lazy breakfast.
In summary, the convenient location, pleasant rooms, very good breakfasts and
helpful hotel staff makes it really worth staying at the Golden Crown Haifa for
at least one night while visiting Israel.
